Welcome to My Blog

Who would have thunk it? I’m a new member of the AARP and I’m 7 and half months pregnant, for the first time.

My name is Kimberly Rubin Spivack, I live in Los Angeles, California, and I’ve waited all my life to get pregnant.

The miracle of my life has happened: (click title for more…)

My little girl, Sky Tara Spivack, is coming in November 2015 (or maybe even end of October?). I’m so grateful and excited!

But how did I go from a successful career as a Hollywood movie producer with 11 movies under her belt, to a pregnant mom-to-be at age 53?

In this blog I’m going to chronicle my journey — how I made this happen, and what happens next as I go through life as a new mom starting the second half of her life.

It’s a story full of miracles, amazing twists and turns, and help from beyond; a story that would be unbelievable if it was fiction, except it’s all true!

I am so excited to share my story and to inspire others that it’s never too late to achieve your dreams. In fact, it’s even better late!

I hope you will join me in this adventure, and share your stories and tips for the road as well as I go forward into this incredible experience.

  1. So inspiring! I am a 54 year old woman who also found love late in life in a foreign country. It’s been eight years since we married and I have been trying to have a child with my 42 year old husband for the last six, although I don’t have a uterus so will not be giving birth. It has been a rough road, but we are still determined. I have two willing egg donors in my family, but have yet to find a surrogate here in Canada. We tried and were not successful in India. We also tried to adopt from my husband’s country, but have hit road blocks there. I am hopeful that the local fertility clinic will work with us, although many clinics here in Canada will not work with someone my age. I’m so glad I found your article on mindbodygreen.com, it gives me hope and the courage to continue to know that there are other women my age who share my dream and are making it come true. Thank You!!
